FanDuel has USC as an early 8.5 point home favorite over Nebraska next Saturday. USC has to win 2 out of their final 3 games to earn a bowl bid, Nebraska, @UCLA and Notre Dame. I think they’ll be a big underdog to Notre Dame, so that really means they have to win their next two games to get to a bowl game.
The USC defense has been inconsistent this season, they’re 72nd in total defensive stats, Nebraska is 16th, despite the Indiana fiasco. USC’s offense is 31st, Nebraska is 96th. Not sure who really has the advantage there, but given Nebraska’s offensive woes, I doubt they’ll win by outscoring the Trojans. USC probably has the edge on special teams.
Nebraska has Wisconsin in Lincoln and @Iowa to close out the season, they’ll most likely be 8-12 point underdogs in both of those games. Winning 2 out of 3 would be a good finish to the season, but right now I don’t see that happening. Do they have what it takes to right the ship and win at least one game?
