I don’t know how long I can contribute to drink the cool aid. Three weeks in a row we give up a two score lead late in the game. It’s hard to blame the D with the games they’ve played but still we lost the games.
I’m at least as frustrated as you, Andy. I had given up on Cornhusker FB a number of years ago, but foolishly allowed myself to regain some small amount of hope over the last year or two. Now I feel like Slim Pickens in Blazing Saddles, “We’ve been suckered in!”
I’d be just fine with never watching another “game” were it not for the fact that my wife still wants to watch. Ugh.

I actually haven’t watched a Husker football game this season. Back in the day I could name the entire coaching staff and most of the players on the top offensive and defensive unit. Today the only coaches I can name is Rhule and Holgerson and I didn’t get to know either one at UNL. I also couldn’t name one player, not even the QB. The Huskers seem to be an average team, not good and not bad from what I have read and heard. I have just lost interest.

One can try and pick apart the reasons for not breaking through over the last three games, or the last decade for that matter. Heaven knows I’m guilty of trying to diagnose the problem… coaching, talent level, effort, culture, NIL, transfer portal, offense, QB, special teams, etc., etc. ad nauseum. Maybe all of the above. It’s befuddling.
I dunno what is going to take to beat a Top 20 team or even any quality team.
At this point, I’m just gonna pray for good luck or Providence. Not giving up, just lowering expectations. Again.
It seems the only thing to hope for is one more win and thereby a bowl game.I don’t see that as a given.
