Iowa and Iowa State are in the sweet 16 together for the first time.

The betting odds currently favor Nebraska, Purdue and Michigan advancing to the Elite Eight.

If Nebraska keeps winning, it could face Big Ten teams the rest of the way. Illinois, Michigan State, Purdue and Michigan.

If Nebraska wins on Thursday, the spring game and the Elite Eight game will both be on Saturday. What a day for Husker sports that would be!

Thursday is also opening day for the baseball season. Go Cubs!

I read that on Saturday ESPN has two of 16 million brackets that were perfect but none survived Sunday. :grin:

ESPN ranked the Sweet 16 teams from 1 to 16.

Either Nebraska, ranked #13, or Iowa, ranked #15, will advance to the Elite Eight and there are teams in the top 8 that will definitely lose next Thursday/Friday, so these rankings are IMHO essentially useless.
