Southern Cal Observations

I have been on this list a number of years and I think this is the first time there have been no post-game posts positive or negative about the game. If there has been I totally missed them. Possibly enough was discussed in the chat room and no more need be said. I don’t partake in the chat room, so I don’t know.

Two games to go to win one to go to a bowl. I understand anything can happen as it did with Appalachian State beating Michigan in Ann Arbor a few years back. However, I think if the Huskers are going to go to a bowl they will need to beat Wisconsin. I don’t see them beating Iowa in Iowa City. Wisconsin will not be a pushover but at least the game is in Lincoln.

Considering how Iowa dismantled Wisconsin, and how close Wisconsin came to knocking off Oregon yesterday, both games are going to be difficult to win. Not impossible, but the team has to perform at a level that we haven’t seen for a full 60 minutes in a game. Oddly enough, I think our chances are better against Iowa than Wisconsin, the Badgers run game will go through the Husker DL like a hot knife through butter.

Bo Pelini could never get past 9 wins, will Matt Rhule ever be able to get past 5 wins?

For me, I shrugged my shoulders and thought “oh well, another season down the drain. It may not change in my lifetime.” Mehhhhh.

Then I watched the Women’s Volleyball match and said a prayer thanking God for John Cook’s tenure and legacy at NU. Thank goodness we have top notch Volleyball teams.

It put a smile back on my face. That AD who shall not be mentioned really put a major curse on football. Is it a 50 year curse or what? (Sarcasm intended).

Go Big Red!

For the points of accuracy, Pelini won 9 games 4 times and 10 3 times in his 7 years.
