Slow start strong finish against Minnesota

A slow start for both teams, but once Nebraska got rolling they didn’t let up. A good home win late in the season.

Final: Nebraska 73 Minnesota 55.

Huskers seem to be peaking at the right time. Defense was stifling. Juwan Gary and Josia Allick were great.

Now, on to Columbus.

Today’s NET rankings: Nebraska moves from 43 to 41.

Huskers have 7 points in the latest AP poll and 8 points in the Coaches poll.

Baby steps. It was mentioned during last night’s telecast that this was only the 7th 20 win season in Nebraska Basketball history. Our neighbors from Lawrence have probably had 7 20+ win seasons out of the last 7 seasons.

I really hope we can put up a few more wins and then get that elusive first NCAA win. These players and we fans deserve it.

Fred seems have finally gotten over that hump, a similar hump that Scott Frost was unable cross. Te “experts” on the post game show were effusive in their praise of Fred and the state of the program. I hope they’re right and that this is the beginning of something great.

GBF!
