Scott Frost

LJS is reporting that Scott Frost is returning to UCF as their next head coach.

UCF is in the Big XII now. I must say I’m surprised they’d hire SF with his baggage.

I think Scott is probably a better coach than he showed at Nebraska, but he stuck with his personnel decisions (coaches and players) too long.

A second factor is that the type of game they played at UCF wasn’t what is played in the Big Ten, which is still largely a muscle and brute force conference, but I think his style of play might fit in well in the new Big 12, with the right coaches and players.

Scott Frost has a 5 year deal with UCF, terms were not mentioned in the ESPN article.

This doesn’t totally surprise me. There is some baggage Frost carries with him now he didn’t have in his first stint with UCF. However, if I recall correctly there were no questions or hard feelings left at UCF. If memory serves me UCF really didn’t want Frost to leave when he did. He had just come off an undefeated season.
