There were 6 QBs on the final roster, none in the small recruiting class signed so far, but this really doesn’t surprise me.
There will be lots of QBs in the portal, but will Nebraska be able to land one? (Comes down to a combination of their fit at Nebraska and, these days, the money available.)
It’s odd that largely unproven college QBs are getting more than some starting NFL QBs.
Kind of struck me when I heard this news that it feels like we are starting over with Rhule. New coaches. New players. New quarterback. Feels like we are back at square one. Maybe we never left square one to begin with, but it doesn’t feel like a place I am excited to be.
There was concern when Tony White left for FSU, but Nebraska had a better season than FSU in 2025 and I’m happier with Rhule than FSU fans are with Norvell.
I’m kinda hoping for Indiana to win the NC and put the entire college FB world on its ear. Yeah, Cignetti is kind of a world class jerk, but among football coaches that puts him in with the majority.
Let’s see…they need a mobile QB with a big arm who doesn’t turn the ball over. TJ could fit that bill, but can he stay healthy? How good or bad will he be with a full season?
I think he is a good, probably average QB. I also think Dylan is a top tier QB who will thrive with protection (like in the NFL).
I’m hoping the Huskers can find a veteran QB in the portal. I’m not holding my breath.
