It is hard to fathom how badly they messed this up. Stand in the back of the endzone and step out of bounds when the D gets close. Worst case - 1 second left and a free kick. Even snapping the ball directly out the back of the end zone probably wins the game
Yeah I would have put the punter in and have him run to the sideline.
Cannot think of an f-up this bad since the NY Giants blew it running out the clock in the late 70’s
