33 of Nebraska’s 39 points were from outside as Nebraska put on a 14-2 spur late to take a 39-33 lead into the locker room.
Mast and Frager are both playing, but Mast is scoreless while Frager and Sandfort both have scored 12.
Mast has been pretty ineffective along with Berke. Frager has been great. Boy, if we’d have had him against Michigan.

Horrible half for the Huskers. Around 4 mins left and really struggling. Mast did not appear ready to come back. I’m hoping he’s full strength by Purdue.
This team has committed way too many turnovers, fouls, mental mistakes and too few rebounds on both ends.

Fred, WTF is Mast playing? He is nothing but a liability today.
Like the loss at Michigan, the 2nd half was nothing like the first half. Illinois tightened everything down, and Nebraska couldn’t find a way around that. Mast was ineffective (and that’s being kind), and the 3’s stopped falling, with just 4 made 3’s in the 2nd half.
Will they still be a top 10 team tomorrow? Maybe. I could see them dropping down to a 3 seed in a lot of brackets, too. The only rated team left on the regular season schedule is Purdue, and the Huskers are probably looking at a 3 seed in the conference tournament, with MSU hot on their heels. Do they need to sweep the rest of the regular season and hope Michigan and Illinois both stumble a bit?
