Huskers drop to #9 in polls

A reasonable drop considering how they played, especially at Michigan. Illinois moves up to #5.

Still 4 Big Ten teams in the Top 10, and Purdue held on to the #12 slot.

Right now the Huskers could face Illinois in the semifinals of the conference tournament and Michigan in the finals. That assumes they don’t get passed by MSU (where we have the head-to-head tiebreak) and Purdue (whom we have yet to play.)

And the Huskers drop down to a 3 seed in Lunardi’s latest bracketology, which he said was going to happen yesterday.

Illinois deservedly moves up to the top 2 seed but Lunardi says there’s a big gap between the top 2 seed and the four 1 seeds.

I liked this line in his opening paragraph:

We’ve also seen our shadow, however, meaning the six more weeks of Bracketology could still bring plenty of surprises.
