Huskers are ice cold

Purdue jumps out to a 14-1 lead, wake up Nebraska!

Why in the heck are Berke and Garcia shooting 3’s? Neither one could hit Lake Michigan from Navy Pier.

Are the Huskers actually playing themselves back into the game after being down by 22?

They were. Got it down to 4 and then a missed 3 and an offensive foul put a stop to that comeback. Down to 7 with a minute to go with possession. Down to 5 with 50 seconds. Purdue at the line. Miss the front end of the 1 and 1. 35.2 seconds and Sadfort hits 1 and misses the second. BS foul call by our wonderful refs. PU makes 1 and Mast hits a 3 to cut it to a 2 point game with 27.8 seconds left. PU misses 2 FT’s. Mast makes the shot and is fouled. Then misses what might have been the winnFT. Not to OT.

We can rebound to save our souls.

It was a great comeback effort, but it still goes in the books as a loss, but how will the committee see it?

Looking at the rest of the regular season, Nebraska has the easiest schedule, with no rated teams left on the schedule, but that probably means they will be expected to run the table, including both games against Iowa, currently projected as a 7 seed in the Big Dance.

Michigan has games left against Purdue, Duke (who scheduled that??), Illinois and Michigan State.

Illinois still has Michigan.

Michigan State has both Purdue and Michigan (last game of the regular season)

Purdue has Michigan and Michigan State.

So the conference tournament seedings, especially the double-byes, are still up for grabs.

Wisconsin just beat Illinois in OT 92-90.
