5-0 victory over Penn State, gives them a ticket into the NCAA Tournament.
Today’s win was over UCLA in the conference finals. NU best PSU yesterday in the semis. Not certain if NU would have made the tournament losing to UCLA.
I must be getting old!
Beats not getting old.

I was able to watch a bit of today’s while in a cell desert in Waterville, Kansas at my wife’s family reunion. I was pleasantly shocked at this weekend’s result. The Huskers sure peaked at the right time. They spent most of the year struggling to get to and remain at .500. Unfortunately the ladies weren’t able to finish off Tennessee. They outscored them over three games but lost two 1 run games, failing to score today.

There is zero change NU is in the tournament if it had lost to UCLA. They are barely above .500.
They are definitely getting hot at the right time. Baseball America has us as the #3 in Corvallis, but I’m hopeful for Austin. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2025-ncaa-baseball-tournament-bracket-projected-field-of-64-may-21/
We ended up #3 seed in chapel Hill, NC against OU and then either UNC or Holy Cross.
UCLA and Oregon are hosting regional. University of Spoiled Children also made the tournament.
Nebraska vs Oklahoma Friday May 30. 5 pm EDT in Chapel Hill Regional.

Huskers were eliminated by Oklahoma earlier on Sunday in a 17-1 blowout.
As Chester A. Reilly would say, “What a revoltin’ development”.

While I’m not happy about the Huskers’ tourney performance, I did enjoy watching the Road Runners take down national #1 seed Tejas in Austin.
My daughter is a grad student at UTSA, and I live less than a mile from the campus. It’s a nice place to go to school.
I thought they got about as far as I expected them to get, at least they won one game in the NCAA Tournament, which is more than the men’s basketball team has ever done.
Honestly, 3 weeks ago I didn’t think they would make the B1G Tournament, much less the NCAAs.
