Unfortunately, they didn’t have enough left to take set 5, A&M advances to Kansas City.
The Huskers were so dominant during the season it would be hard to keep that up.
I mentioned to a couple of people a few weeks ago that I wish they would have lost one or two times during the regular season. They both said, “are you nuts?” I just said that every team is going to lose at some point regardless of how good they are? And every team has the chance to lose to some team not as good as they are. The Huskers string just ran out. That is pretty much all there is to it.

Even a few close matches might have helped, They really weren’t pushed much since the Kentucky match in August. I can’t remember the last time someone ran a streak of 10 consecutive points on them, like A&M did in set 1.
