It is great Tominaga is coming back and he is a good player. I just don’t think he is a difference maker.

The statistics seem to suggest he is a difference maker.
John, your comment is just silly. With all due respect.

Every player is a difference-maker, it’s just that some are positive and some are negative.
There was a famous baseball trade, probably in the 1920’s, possibly between the Giants and the Dodgers, where one team sent a player to another team with no return compensation and then announced that both teams were improved by the trade!
What is silly about it? While it is true that every player is a difference maker one way or the other, what I am saying is some players take their team to a much higher plain. I don’t believe Tominaga is that kind of player, silly or not. Man, I gave the guy a compliment saying it is great he is coming back and he is a good player. I just don’t think he is the type of player that will make the team a lot better team. He will be an asset.

Similar to this one I heard years ago.
