Not certain I see Butler as the weak link.
The DL was always suspect this year, after losing 3 starters it makes sense.
As to the 3-3-5 I still like it and we’ve played it successfully a number of times. Pelini ran a 4-2-5, adding another end instead of LB and those were some solid defenses.
I think if any coach were to go out would have been at the OL but I understand not giving DR another reason to consider a transfer
I think Butler is probably a good NFL coach. He will survive.
Huskers need a coach who plays more aggressive style defense. Stop the run, go after the QB. Let DL make plays, rather than hold up the line and let LBs make the plays.
DBs are still a strength. I wish Hartzog had been healthy. Did he get a medical redshirt?
