Day two transcript is out there. Rhule seldom shies away from being controversial, he stated that he thinks the Big Ten should have 4 teams in the playoffs every year.
Do they still play the conference championship game with an 18th am league. Haven’t kept track with NU never qualifying. That would hurt 4 team goal.
The top 2 teams in the conference will continue to face off in the Big Ten Championship game, which now could be a repeat of the previous week’s Michigan-Ohio State game, though there are other teams that could be in the hunt as well (USC and Penn State, for example.)
I haven’t looked up what the tie-breaks are, but I suspect at least one of the participants will get in based on tie-breaks most years.
The loser of that game might be the odd man out in the playoffs, but I doubt that hurts the 3rd and 4th place teams chances.
The real question is whether a team like Rutgers, Wisconsin, Iowa or a rebounding Nebraska would get much consideration. UCLA is kind of a mystery to me, and Washington seems to be written off by nearly all the pre-season hypsters.
Day 3 transcripts are up already.
Interesting to see how long each coach’s opening statement was, Bielema’s was so long there was time for only one media question.
Good strategy. More talk less probing or stupid questions

An alternative explanation is that Bielema loves to hear himself talk.
I think I’ve read the remarks from the commissioner and all 18 coaches, if there was anything that would qualify as a probing question, I missed seeing it.
