I think the absence of official information on payments to players, including NIL, leads to a lot of factless speculation. After reports circulated that Indiana’s FB players got about $40M in payments, the Indiana coach said it was much lower than that, but he wouldn’t give an actual number.
Maybe the NCAA and schools are afraid that if those numbers become public, there will be rampant inflation in what players think they’re worth. I’m afraid that ship has already sailed. My guess is the agents have a very good idea who got what, even if the general public is being kept in the dark.
There was no 3-point shot anywhere but the ABA way back when I was in school. Heck, freshmen couldn’t play varsity football or basketball when I started at UNL.

Nebraska Baseball is also back in the Top 25 as of this morning after sweeping USC who was ranked #10 before the got the tar knocked out of them by Nebraska. Plus Coach Bolt got his 200th career coaching victory and after winning in extra innings on Friday, the team Mercy ruled the spoiled children the last two games. Go Big Red!
Last and not least Asher Cohen is the NCAA Champion on Rings. Plus Nebraska came in 4th Place at NCAA.
